Cookies & website analytics

This website uses a small number of necessary cookies to function, including one that remembers your cookie choice. With your consent, it also uses Google Analytics (measurement ID G-PL7986WLD3) to understand how the site is used. Google Analytics is only loaded — and only sets cookies — after you choose Accept on our cookie notice. If you choose Necessary Only, no analytics cookies are set and no data is sent to Google. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the lp_cookie_consent cookie in your browser, which will show the notice again. Analytics data is processed by Google in accordance with the Google Privacy Policy.

Form spam protection

Our website forms (such as contact, support, and feature requests) are protected from spam and abuse by Cloudflare Turnstile, a privacy-focused alternative to traditional CAPTCHAs. When you load or submit one of these forms, your browser connects to Cloudflare and shares technical information — such as your IP address and basic browser and device signals — so that Cloudflare can confirm you are a real person rather than an automated bot. Turnstile is used only for this security purpose and is designed not to track you across websites; it may set a strictly necessary cookie to remember that a check has passed. This processing is carried out by Cloudflare, Inc. as a third-party processor in accordance with the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

How the M Chart plugins handle data

The sections above describe M Chart / Methnen LLC (the “Site”). The following describes how our software — the M Chart WordPress plugin and its premium add-on M Chart Pro — handles data when you install and use it on your own website. These plugins run on your server, under your control; we do not have access to the data you manage with them.

M Chart (free core)

M Chart stores only the chart data sets you enter, within your own WordPress database. It renders charts using a copy of the Chart.js library that is bundled with the plugin (no third-party CDN), and any chart images are generated on your own server. M Chart does not set cookies on your visitors, does not include analytics, and does not transmit data to us. For accessibility, each chart on the front end includes a visually hidden data table that contains only that chart’s own data.

M Chart Pro — fonts

If you build a chart theme in M Chart Pro that uses Google Fonts or Adobe Fonts, those fonts are loaded by your visitors’ browsers directly from Google’s or Adobe’s servers when a chart that uses them is displayed. As a result, your visitors’ IP addresses may be exposed to Google or Adobe at that time. If you prefer to avoid this, you can use the bundled font stacks or your own self-hosted fonts instead, which do not contact any third party.

M Chart Pro — external data sources

M Chart Pro can keep a chart in sync with data hosted elsewhere. Connections to Google Sheets and to remote CSV files are made server-to-server from your site (your visitors are not involved), with protections against requests to private network addresses. Any credentials you provide for these features — such as a Google service-account key or a Google Fonts API key — are encrypted at rest in your WordPress database.

Data collection & sharing

When you purchase a premium license for our plugins/themes, Freemius, Inc. acts as our Merchant of Record and a third-party data processor. Freemius collects and securely stores your billing information, first and last name, email address, and license keys to process transactions and secure your product license. Your payment data is handled in accordance with the Freemius Privacy Policy.

Analytics & usage tracking

If you use the free version of our software, integration features may utilize the Freemius WordPress SDK. Data collection only occurs if you explicitly choose to “opt-in” via the screen presented upon software activation. If you opt in, non-identifying site usage data—such as plugin versions, PHP versions, WordPress versions, and active theme details—is transmitted to Freemius to help us improve the product. You may opt out or skip this tracking at any time without impacting the core functionality of your software.

You can manage your license and account at any time through the Freemius user dashboard at users.freemius.com.
